I love contact!
That’s why I have said “Hello World!” in all the following ways:
FACEBOOK
I have a facebook account, too. Fewer friends have found me here than on myspace. But I like the fact that there are far fewer little kids on it. The clientele seems to consist of more academic types than unsupervised adolescents who obsess about their online presence as much as beauty queens obsess about their makeup (the typical myspace crowd).
UPDATE: I deleted my facebook account after their recent increase in advertising and overall emphasis on annoying applications. I don’t want games, I want people! Life’s too short.
MYSPACE
I am on myspace, too. I began using it when my daughter informed me that I “need a myspace, dad.” But slowly it evolved from a tool which my former students can use to find each other (which I hope it still is, even though I’ve simplified the design — quite a change), into a point of contact with others of like mind through the myspace blogging tool. I crosspost a lot of jimblog.net posts over there. I’ve joined a couple groups, with good results, and uploaded about 10 videos, gotten into some comment-discussions on others’ blogs, and generally found it mildly addicting.
YOUTUBE
I have just a few videos on public display on Youtube, but two of them have literally hundreds of comments from those who feel passionately about the topics of the videos. Check them out.
FLICKR
I just started a flickr photo site. I’m kinda liking that place. If you want a free photo hosting site to dump your pics and use as a link-to site, I recommend it.

November 28th, 2006 at 7:43:16 amI found an image of Powhatan that lists your website as the source. I am a adjunct instructor of U.S. History at a junior college in Ga. and I am concerned about putting this image on my school website. That is the purpose of my message to you
